Gold Rush 2024 Adult Bronze Silver Emotional Performance
I also took first place in this program. This video is the second time that I skated it in this competition because I was fortunate enough to be recalled when I competed in the regular event. And when the recall skates were done, I was honored to received the Bill Kerth award for adults skating.

This competition was my first time competing at the Silver level. In addition, I have not yet passed any tests to qualify me to skate Silver, so I was actually “skating up.“ I was very pleased and surprised to have actually won the event. In an interpretive competition, you do not prepare in advance. Instead, you will arrive at the rink and find out what song was selected for you. I took 5th out of ten in this combined event, missing the podium by .48. This event combined skaters doing programs from three different categories: lyrical pop, character performance and comedic. Music: Paint it Black sung by Valérie Broussard with heart beat sound I added.

You’re so sweet. According to coach Jen, I can’t straighten my free legs (either one) enough/correctly in my free dance. 😂😂. And I can’t seem to a left forward outside Choctaw, which is also in the free dance. Sogh.
Whatever is not perfect, you will make it thus, I know!
I don't know you, though I did skate at Skatetown until 2010. Your Facebook post showed in my feed, likely due to having mutual friends. It was a pleasure to watch this test, and so well done. Congratulations on your achievement, and at 21+ category as well.
That is so kind of you, thank you. I started skating there in 2011, so we just missed each other. I didn’t start USFS until a few years later.

Awww thank you, Paula. I was pleased my coach didn’t think I needed to test 50+ and he was apparently right. 😀
This brings back so many memories! Last year at my old school they did this play and it was really cool! It's weird to think that I've already forgotten so much about it though, as I don't really remember this scene. I definitely remember how the guy kept having to wait for the timer to get to 60 to reset haha! It was a really cool play to see and I even got a poster that one of the art students made for it!

Hi! Do students need to have a gmail account in order to use google classroom? Thanks!
Either a gmail, or the accounts created by the school or district if the school/district has G-Suite for Education. For example, our students access through a single sign-on portal that requires their sanjuan.edu email addresses--these addresses have been associated with their school Google accounts for all Google products.

Wow! I really enjoyed watching this!! I wish I had been able to learn to skate/dance like this when I was young! I did begin to learn at age 66. Smile... Hey, I've been looking for this version of Kyrie forEVER! My high school also sang this song for a music festival in Saskatchewan, but that was many years ago. Where can I find the music for this? Anyone know the arranger or at least the publishing house?
The choral teacher acquired all her music from a vendor that provides music to choirs. I don't know the name of it, but I'm sure any choral director local to you could provide you with sources.

Thanks. I skated as a kid but only had lessons up to Beta and skates. Then, in my 20s, I bought my first pair of skates and took lessons for a couple years. Then my feet grew one size longer when unturned 30 and I stopped stopped skating. In Feb of 2011, I finally bought a replacement (and better) pair of skates and I've been hooked--again! I'm 42 now and still stuck in FS 2 because I haven't yet mastered a change-foot spin. Hope to see you at a couple of events next year!

I was there in person and watched it. I must say it's as much fun to watch on a video as it was in person. Awesome job; a lot of energy. It looks like you really enjoyed yourself with this one :)
